MAKATI - Blacklist International comes back to their senses and manages to clinch the third seed after a crucial match against current top two AP.Bren in the last match of the MPL Philippines Season 12 regular season.
It was a better overall performance for the Agents compared to their last meetup in Week 3, where Blacklist also won but with two games to one, with Edward Jay "Edward" Dapadap leading the crew.
It was a commanding but close victory for Blacklist International in Game 1, where they grabbed ten total kills compared to APBR's four in 27 minutes of play, with all but one lord going into Blacklist's side.
It was the star EXP laner who grabbed the MVP nod with 2/1/6 KDA on the Terizla, including several crucial sets to win the clashes, Renejay "Renejay" Barcase and Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo's double healer setup of Rafaela and Faramis combined for two kills and 18 assists, while Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel's Novaria assisted in all AP.Bren kills.
The Hive tried to overturn the deficit in the second game but to no avail as the Agents clinched the series despite trailing in kill count, 11 to 16, as Renejay's Novaria sniped four kills and dished six more while only falling once, and Kiel "Oheb" Soriano's Claude registering 2/2/9 KDA while pressuring the lanes.
It was the Blacklist roamer who started the end for AP.Bren as Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo's Minotaur fell down the count in the 31st minute, and win the APBR roamer down, prompted his team play defense only to lose the final clash as Blacklist waited for the final lord and crashes inside APBR's base.
With the win, Blacklist improves to 8-6 and 22 points, overtaking RSG Philippines via total win-loss record, while the Hive slides to 7-7 but remains with 24 points.
