MANILA--Dynamic Herb Cebu became the first Filipino team to score a victory in any AFC club competition this year after beating Shan United, 1-0, on Thursday night at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Ken Murayama's goal was the difference as Cebu finally did what Kaya Iloilo and Stallion Laguna have not yet done so far in their own AFC tournament stints.

Murayama dashed through the goal from the right side and slotted a goal from a tough angle in the 29th minute that deflected off Myo Min Latt's foot before going in.

Despite a relatively better second half, Shan could not find the equalizer and Cebu escaped.

With the win, Cebu is now third place in Group F with its first full three points, while Shan is the only side that remains without a point at the end of the first round.

Phnom Penh Crown currently tops the group after stunning Australian opponent Macarthur at home, 3-0.
