SAN JUAN, MM--College of St. Benilde returned to its winning ways on Saturday after pipping San Sebastian, 87-72, in their NCAA encounter at the FilOil EcoOil Centre.
The Blazers gradually turned things around in the second quarter before their defense shut the door on the Golden Stags in the fourth.
Down 20-17 after the first quarter, CSB fired 26 points in the second quarter to take a 43-39 halftime lead.
After a tight third quarter that somehow kept San Sebastian in the game, CSB held them to just 13 points in the fourth to seal the rout.
Migs Oczon fired 29 points on 7-of-11 shooting from deep, two rebounds, four assists, one steal, and one block for the Blazers, who snapped a two-game slide to move up to 2-3.
Robi Nayve added 16 points, three rebounds, and three assists, while Will Gozum chipped in 13 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, one block, and one steal.
Rafael Are led the Golden Stags, who dropped to a tie with the Perpetual Help Altas for seventh place at 1-3, with 15 points, one rebound, four assists, and two steals.
