MANILA - Dynamic Herb Cebu FC faces another reality check as they were dumped, 2-8, by Australian side Macarthur FC in their second match of the AFC Cup Thursday evening (Australian time) inside the Campbelltown Sports Stadium in Sydney.

The Gentle Giants were drubbed from the get-go with a penalty from Mexican skipper Ulises Davila in the sixth minute and an own goal from Baris Tasci 13 minutes later saw them trail 0-2.

Their woes continued as French forward Valere Germain scored in the 26th and another in the 36th from the penalty spot, followed by Kearyn Baccus's conversion from a rather disorganized Cebu defense in the 37th minute

Substitute Jed Drew, who was inserted in the game in the 12th minute after an injury to Daniel de Silva, slotted one of his own in the 44th minute to put the Australian side 6-0 ahead at halftime.

The Bulls continued their onslaught on the Giants with a 49th minute goal from Raphael Borges Rodrigues in the 49th minute, and another substitute Jake Hollman, who replaced Germain in the 61st minute, scored the eighth goal for Macarthur in the 1st minute.

Australian national team defender Matthew Jurman conceded an own goal in the 84th minute after a save from Danijel Nizic bounced on the defender before going into the net.

A set piece in the 89th minute salvaged Cebu with another goal courtesy of a header from Japanese forward Rintaro Hama to close the scoring festivities.

Macarthur FC controlled the better part of the game with 75 percent of the possession in their side and punished the Cebu defense with 23 shots, 16 on target, while Cebu only managed nine shots with four chances.

Cebu FC will try to score their maiden win against fellow winless side Shan United, who was punished by Phnom Penh Crown 4-0, while Macarthur FC will see the Cambodian side, both on Oct. 26.
