STA. ROSA, Laguna--Jeron Teng has a new home.
Player agent Danny Espiritu confirmed on Wednesday that the six-foot-two swingman signed a two-year deal to join San Miguel.
Teng easily became one of the hottest free agents this offseason after Converge opted not to give him a contract extension and let him go last month.
Espiritu posted a picture of Teng with San Miguel Corporation sports director Alfrancis Chua, also Ginebra's governor on the PBA board, on his socials, although he clarified that Teng is joining SMB.
It will be a full circle moment for the Teng Family as Jeron's father Alvin played for the Beermen from 1986-1994, winning seven titles.
As of Tuesday, SMB had one vacant active roster spot left, which will likely be filled up by Teng, but he joins a stacked wing rotation for the team that also has gunners CJ Perez, Allyn Bulanadi, and Marcio Lassiter and twinner forwards Troy Mallillin and Vic Manuel activated for the upcoming PBA Commissioner's Cup.
