KarlTzy bags Season MVP nod as MPL PH recognizes league, fan-voted awards

QUEZON CITY - MOONTON announces the winners for various fan-voted and league awards during the MPL Philippines Season 12 Season Awards ceremony inside the EVM Convention Center on Saturday.

Karl Gabriel "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno grabbed the Season 12 MVP award, adding to his already decorated resume which included the Finals MVP in MPL Philippines Season 6 as well as the MVP award in the M2 World Championship under the Bren Esports franchise.

Ron Matthew "Matt" Papag claimed the Rookie of the Season trophy after taking over the starting jungler role for Smart Omega staring in Week 5.

With the young jungler, the Barangay registered a 3-2 record over the last two weeks of the regular season, including a three-series win streak including wins against AP.Bren and RSG Philippines to catapult them from seventh to fifth in the standings.

ECHO's gaffer Harold "Tictac" Reyes grabbed his first Coach of the Season award as he led the Orcas to a league-best 11-3 record this season.

Meanwhile, MPL PH talents were also awarded as Mara Aquino took her first nod as Best Filipino Talent after six seasons with the league, joining Rose, Clara, and Cheryl Yao in the line of MPL hosts getting the award in their respective seasons.

Longtime English broadcast caster Dan "Leo" Cubangay grabbed the Best English Talent award, his second nod for the said category after his first in Season 9.

TNC Pro Team grabbed two of the fan-voted awards with the Best Roster Reveal and King Cyric "K1NGKONG" Perez getting the Freshest Face award, while Blacklist International took two as well with Renejay "Renejay" Barcase's Sportmanship Award and Dannica Suazo as the Best Team Correspondent.

TooFast Gaming and Myanmar's Amma meanwhile took the Best FIlipino and Best Global Restreamer, respectively.
