MAKATI - Minana EVOS continue their winning ways with a 2-1 win against cellar-dwellers TNC Pro Team to end their MPL Philippines Season 12 Week 4 campaign on Sunday.
The Tigers entered the series with a shock 2-0 win against Smart Omega last Saturday, while TNC suffers another defeat against AP.Bren the same day.
Minana EVOS secured a comfortable Game 1 victory, seven kills to just TNC's four, with Jan Dominic "Domeng" del Mundo's Claude getting three kills and three assists to lead the Tigers.
Ken Louie "Kzen" Pile's Akai grabbed four assists while Jetson "Goyo" Ignacio led TNC Pro with one kill and three assists with the Novaria.
The Phoenix Army turned the tables in the second game as they grabbed a 16-10 Game 2 win against the Tigers with King Cyric "K1NGKONG" Perez's Joy getting the MVP nod with four kills and seven assists to his name, while John Vincent "Innocent" Banal's Karrie grabbed six kills and five assists.
Minana EVOS hit on another level and dominated TNC in a 10-2 outing, with a late game surge from Ben "Benthings" Maglaque's Chou's pickoff on Lance "LanceCy" Cunanan's Valentina gone wrong as he was taken down by the Tigers followed by a crucial king onto K1NGKONG's Fredrinn with the lord available.
From there, it was all MNNE as TNC's last gasp defense went to naught as they wrapped the series in 18 minutes.
With the win, Minana EVOS improved with 3-6 series win-loss record with 10 points in the bag, while TNC added a solitary point to five but sunk to 1-8 record.
Minana EVOS will try to extend their streak to three as they will battle Blacklist International on Friday, while TNC will see ECHO on Saturday.
