MAKATI - RSG Philippines solidify their upper bracket campaign with a 2-0 sweep over AP.Bren in the MPL Philippines Season 12 regular season on Sunday.
It was a crucial win for the men in blue, following a 2-1 win against Blacklist International the last time, while APBR arrived with a comfortable win against TNC Pro Team.
The Raiders overturned an 11 thousand lead by the Hive from the 20th minute with a late game fightback, thanks to several crucial Penalty Zone sets from Nathanael "Nathzz" Estrologo's Thamuz.
John Darry "Irrad" Abarquez grabbed the MVP nod with a 6/6/7 KDA as he led RSG Philippines in gold per minute despite not getting any turtle or lord takes, with their two crucial lords falling in Nathzz and Eman "EMANN" Sangco's Brody's hands.
RSG Philippines executed the same playstyle in the second game, holding their own once more against APBR despite Kyle "KyleTzy" Sayson getting his comfort Fanny pick to get more squishy Raiders' heroes Karrie and Joy.
Arvie "Aqua" Antonio's Valentina grabbed the MVP nod with five kills and five assists with just one death, getting mostly David "FlapTzy" Canon's Terizla's Penalty Zone ultimate for extra sets alongside Dylan "Light" Catipon's Minotaur.
With the win, RSG Philippines leapfrogs the Hive in solo second place with 17 points, while AP.Bren slips to third with 15 points.
RSG will next see Minana EVOS next Saturday to push their upper bracket hopes further, while AP.Bren will take on ONIC PH with a marquee matchup for playoff hopes.
