AP.Bren vs. Burmese Ghouls, Blacklist vs. Fire Flux headlines M5 draw

MANILA - Filipino representatives AP.Bren and Blacklist International realizes their competition as the tournament draw for the M5 World Championship determine the matchups Saturday.

Former M3 World Champions Blacklist will face the tournament's Group of Death in Group B as they will match against Turkish champions Fire Flux Esports, four-time MPL Brazil champions RRQ Akira, and a team from the wildcard stage.

Current MPL Philippines champions AP.Bren will also meet another wildcard stage winners, alongside M2 rivals and Myanmar qualifier champs Burmese Ghouls, and MPL Singapore's giant slayers Team Flash in Group C.

Tournament favorites ONIC Esports, bannered by Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelsol and Coach Denver "Yeb" Miranda, will figure in Group A alongside Cambodian champs SeeYouSoon, MPL MENA champions Triple Esports, and Liga LATAM runners-up Bigetron Sons.

Allen "Baloyskie" Baloy's Geek Fam will have North American powerhouse TheOhioBrothers, MPL Malaysia champions HomeBois, and M-World series regulars Deus Vult from Russia.


Wildcard groups revealed

The upcoming M5 World Championship will debut a wildcard tournament featuring eight teams, including five from developing regions in the Mobile Legends esports scene.

MPL Malaysia's runners-up Team SMG will see South Asian powerhouse 4Merical Esports from Nepal, Saudi Arabia's Triple Esports, and Laotian team Niightmare Esports representing the Mekong region.

KeepBest Gaming, China region's first-ever representatives, will see tough competition as they will meet Mongolian giants Lilgun, Liga LATAM third placers Imperio Esports from Peru, and CIS runners-up Umbrella Squad.

The world championships will start on November 23 with the matchup between Team SMG and Niightmare Esports in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
