PASIG--Meralco broke loose within the final 5:45 of its PBA Commissioner's Cup game against TNT for a 109-95 win on Sunday night at the PhilSports Arena.

Just when the Tropang Giga were about to pull off a comeback after trailing for the entire game and cut the lead down to two, 91-89, with 6:12 left, a three-point play from Chris Banchero with 5:45 left sparked the Bolts' 9-0 run to stretch their lead back to 11, 100-89, with 4:20 remaining.

Despite Rondae Hollis-Jefferson's gallant effort in the end, TNT could not inch closer to Meralco in the end.

Su Braimoh led the Bolts, now at 3-1, with 37 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and three steals.

Banchero, in his first game back from a hamstring injury, added 18 points, two rebounds, and four assists off the bench.

Hollis-Jefferson finished with 47 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block for the Tropang Giga, who fell to 2-2.
