Suleiman Braimoh fires 40 as Meralco outlast Blackwater for 2-0 start in PBA Comm's Cup

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga--Suleiman Braimoh was on fire on Saturday as he paced Meralco to a 91-84 win against Blackwater in their PBA Commissioner's Cup game at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Braimoh finished with 40 points in the battle between opening night winners as he carried the fight for the Bolts against the gritty Bossing en route to the win.

Braimoh also had 16 points, one rebound, and three assists as Meralco momentarily moved to the top spot at 2-0.

Cliff Hodge and Bong Quinto each added nine points.

Chris Ortiz made 29 points, six rebounds, one block, and four steals for Blackwater, which fell to 1-1.
