MANILA - It was the dream match of the home crowd. A battle between the two best teams in the Phililpines, with the hopes for a four-peat for the MLBB-crazed nation.

However, they met much earlier than expected, and one of them didn't make it to the grandest stage.

AP.Bren books the last seat of the M5 World Championship Grand Finals after sweeping rivals Blacklist International in the rematch of the MPL Philippines Season 12 finals inside the Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Saturday.

It was a bounce-back victory for the Bees, who were subdued by Indonesia's ONIC Esports 3-0 earlier in the upper bracket finals.

Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo carried his team to a 1-0 lead thanks to his Mathilda's performance, including two kills and 16 assists, and Kyle "KyleTzy" Sayson's Martis capitalized on his early game potential, getting five kills and assisting one.

Edward Jay "Edward" Dapadap did not have a great Game 1 as his Arlott fell down five times without scoring a kill or assist.

Owgwen's roam Arlott secured a comfortable 2-0 lead for AP.Bren, getting two kills once more alongside 10 assists and only falling once in yet another quick game, clocking at 15 minutes.

Stephen "Sensui" Castillo's Martis has a game to forget as he didn't secure a single major objective and only securing four assists while Edward's Edith did not fare well as he was took down four times despite killing three.

Marco "Super Marco" Requitiano led the Bees in securing the sweep with four kills and five assists with the Brody as AP.Bren ended the series in 18 minutes, 12 kills to seven.

The Bees will see former tormentors ONIC Esports to a best-of-seven grand finals on Sunday.
