QUEZON CITY - Eastern Europe's best soars over the Turkish champs as Deus Vult gives Fire Flux Esports their first loss of the M5 World Championship to start the Knockout Rounds Saturday inside the EVM Convention Center.

The M-series mainstays started the series on a close yet resounding note as Mathaios "Kidbomba" Chatzilakos lead the CIS squad in 20 minutes.

The German EXP Laner tallied two kills and nine assists with the Terizla, while Eduard "Magistor" Rukosuev contributed to 13 of 14 total kills without falling once, despite not getting a single lord.

The Thorn Queen had other ideas as Ahmet "Rosa" Batir spearheaded Fireflux with a 4/0/8 performance with the Lylia while the rest of the team dominating Deus Vult, 15-3.

However, that would ne the last hurrah of the series for the Turkish representatives as DeVu scored Games 3 and 4, with Magistor's Nolan getting the MVP nod in Game 3 with 4/0/5 KDA, and Kidbomba responding with a 2/1/9 performance with the Uranus in the final game.

With the win, Deus Vult assured them of the highest finish for any team in the Eastern Europe region, securing at least sixth place, beating Natus Vincere's run in M3 where they finished eighth.

The EECA reps will wait for the winner of the ONIC - Blacklist tie while Fire Flux will be relegated to the lower bracket and will await for the loser of the same series.
