MANILA—Rain Or Shine went full throttle in the fourth quarter en route to drubbing NLEX, 113-101, in their PBA Commissioner's Cup game on Friday night at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
The Elasto Painters slowly chipped away the Road Warriors' lead and eventually ended the third quarter tied with them, 84-all.
ROS then outscored NLEX, 29-17, to pull away for good.
Tree Treadwell led the Elasto Painters, who now won back-to-back games after a 0-5 start to stay in contention for a quarterfinal spot, with 23 points, 18 rebounds, four assists, two blocks, and one steal.
Beau Belga added 14 points on 5-for-5 field goals including 3-of-3 from deep, three rebounds, two assists, one block, and two steals off the bench.
Stokley Chaffee put up 32 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and four steals, but the Road Warriors are now 0-3 with him as Thomas Robinson's replacement even as they joined the Elasto Painters in a tie at 2-5.
Don Trollano added 21 points, two rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
