MANILA—Robert Bolick took flight for NLEX as they stayed in contention for a spot in the PBA Commissioner's Cup quarterfinals by taking down Blackwater, 104-97, on Friday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

In the battle between reeling teams, Bolick dropped 30 points to lead the Road Warriors to a crucial win even as they outscored the Bossing, 27-18, to pull away for good.

Bolick came close to a triple-double as he too had 15 assists and eight rebounds along with four steals as NLEX snapped a four-game losing streak to go up to 3-6.

Stokley Chaffee added 20 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, and one block as his team will have a three-week Christmas break before playing Converge on Jan. 10 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum and Ginebra on Jan. 13 at the Ibalong Centrum for Recreation in Legazpi in two more must-win games.

Chris Ortiz fired 27 points, two rebounds, seven assists, and one block for Blackwater, which fell to its eighth straight loss to drop to 1-8.

The Ever Bilena franchise will be officially eliminated from playoff contention if Rain Or Shine beats another reeling team, Terrafirma, on Saturday.
