PATTS College of Aeronautics returned to their familiar place: championship heaven.

The Seahorses fired all the guns they had to fruition en route to a convincing 25-17, 25-19, 25-15 victory over Philippine Women’s University in the winner-take-all Game 3 and be crowned as the champions of the Inter-Scholastic Athletic Association (ISAA) Season 15 men’s volleyball tournament Friday at the PATTS gym in Parañaque City.

Behind the monster performance of Kristofer Alejos and balanced scoring from both ends of the floor, the Seahorses proved too much for the Patriots to handle in the match that only lasted an hour and 28 minutes.

This recent championship romp enabled the boys of head coach Benjie Hernandez to nab its first ISAA volleyball title and fifth overall since their historic four-peat from 2016 to 2019.

With PWU threatening 14-20 in the third set, Alejos went down to work, firing four of the Seahorses’ final five points, including a quick attack to end the match and send the PATTS faithful into a frenzy.

The sophomore Alejos finished with a game-best 19 points spiked on nine blocks and 10 attacks. He was later adjudged as the Finals Most Valuable Player of the series, with averages of 15.0 points and 6.0 blocks in the three games.

Skipper Reggem Gemotra added 10 points all on attacks to the PATTS cause, while Joshua Oribello, Kian Louis Bustos, and Geisehler Panaligan also joined the scoring party with timely hits and defensive stops in the match.

Rammel Valenciano led PWU with seven points on seven attacks, but his effort went for naught as the boys from Taft committed 25 unforced errors tin the match that spelled the difference in the match.
