BIÑAN—Biñan successfully defended its home court this week in the PSL after ripping Indanan, 85-56, at the tail end of its two-game home stand on Thursday night at the Alonte Sports Arena.

Biñan kept control of the first half despite Indanan putting up a gallant fight and took a 40-31 lead at halftime.

Biñan pulled away for good in the third quarter after outscoring Indanan, 25-11, and never looked back.

KG Canaleta dominated anew for Biñan, now tied with Nueva Ecija on top of the team standings at 11-0, with 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting from three-point range, seven rebounds, and one assist before sitting out the fourth quarter.

Jaymar Gimpayan added 13 points on 6-of-9 field goals, three rebounds, one assist, and one steal.

Biñan has a chance to take the solo lead on Tuesday night when it takes on slumping Cainta at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.

Biñan will then host Nueva Ecija on Feb. 3 back at the Alonte Sports Arena with a possibility that only one of them will remain undefeated.

Charles Callano put up 11 points, two rebounds, one assist, and one steal for Indanan, which dropped to 3-8.
