MAKATI - ECHO continues to build their momentum heading into the season break as they trample TNC Pro Team in Week 2 of MPL Philippines Season 13, Sunday.
Coach Harold "Tictac" Reyes continues to field MDL Philippines Season 2 standouts Justine "Zaida" Palma and Jhonville "Outplayed" Villar, while TNC retained their lineup against Blacklist International, with Czedrick "Super Yoshi" Romero.
It was a back-and-forth affair in Game 1 for both teams, with ECHO and TNC trading blows against each other with Kier "Nomed" Sugarno's Roger gold lane pick clicking in the early to mid-game.
However, the ECHO quintet found their momentum in the late game, taking down Yoshi's Minotaur and Jaylord "Hatred" Gonzales's Valentina in the 12th minute.
The Orcas never looked back since, with Outplayed leading the charge with 2/0/3 with the Karrie, as they base-locked three minutes later.
It was a different story in the second game as Zaida got his hands on his signature Nolan pick in a 19-4 ECHO beatdown of TNC.
The jungler recorded a game-high ten kills along with four assists, without falling once, as ECHO dominated in both the kills and economy department.
Super Yoshi's Grock and Dean "Raizen" Sumagui's Barats picks were neutralized in the 14-minute match, with the two Phoenix Army members combining for 10 of all deaths for the team.
Outplayed's Claude also had a perfect game with five kills and four assists, while Jaypee "Jaypee" dela Cruz's Minotaur contributed to 74 percent of all ECHO kills while only falling once.
With the win, ECHO improved to a 4-0 match record for the season, while winning all but one of their games, while TNC sinks to 1-3 in the standings.
ECHO will have their hands full in Week 3 as they will meet M5 Filipino representatives Blacklist International and AP.Bren, while TNC will meet RSG Philippines and ONIC Philippines two weeks from now.
