MAKATI--Onic Philippines dictated the tempo in both two games of their MPL Philippines Season 13 clash against Smart Omega to win their tie on Friday at the Shooting Gallery Studio.
Onic PH took it slow in Game 1 and just let Smart Omega take all the turtles in the objectives before launching a grand endgame rally to go 6-0 in kills and end the match right there.
Game 2, though, saw Smart Omega pull off a huge surprise by bringing in its entire second unit led by John Salonga and Carlito Ribo.
However, Onic Philippines decided to go a bit fast-paced and dominated Smart Omega's substitutes to complete the sweep.
Onic PH moved up momentarily to third place in the team standings at 2-1, just below still unbeaten AP Bren and Echo, which will play RSG Philippines later Friday.
Smart Omega, on the other hand, dropped to 0-3.
