Phoenix pounces Stephen Holt-less Terrafirma for 1st win in PBA PH Cup

MANILA—Phoenix broke away in the fourth quarter to make Terrafirma feel the absence of Stephen Holt with a 94-78 blowout for its first win in the PBA Philippine Cup on Wednesday night at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.

The Fuel Masters outscored the Dyip, 30-14, in the final period to break a 64-all tie after three quarters.

RR Garcia paced Phoenix, which jumped to seventh place at 1-2, with 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting including 7-of-8 from inside the arc, six rebounds, and 10 assists.

Jason Perkins added 18 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.

Javi Gomez De Liano put up 19 points, five rebounds, one assist, two steals, and one block for Terrafirma, which now lost back-to-back games after starting the conference with back-to-back wins.
