MANILA - Manila Digger scores their second win in the Philippines Football League as they sneak past Maharlika Taguig on a hot Sunday matchday inside Rizal Memorial Stadium.

It was another close result from Manila Digger, who was coming from a 3-2 win against Philippine Army FC last week.

But Maharlika did not make things easy as after 30 minutes of goal attempts from both sides, Lucas del Rosario slotted a goal past Yuya Kuriyama, off from a missed clear attempt from Johnmar Barsanilla.

However, the lead didn't last long for The People's Club as Eric Giganto won the ball and had Dante Terado on skates before sending it to Jeon Sang-cheon who tied the game with one apiece.

The scoreline stands up until the dying minutes of the regular time as Shin Min-ki slotted a goal outside the box that went past Mamadou Sene's guard, which was questioned by the Maharlika XI who protested for a potential handball incident with the ball goal-bound.

Referee Clifford Daypuyat then awarded the goal to Shin after a discussion with the linesman, sealing the comeback from Digger and the match.

The men in yellow will visit the University of Makati Stadium for an away game against Davao Aguilas UMak, while Maharlika Taguig will try to cause an upset as they square off against Kaya-Iloilo at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, both on April 21.
