MAKATI - Upset alert!
Minana EVOS pulls off a shocker to end their MPL Philippines Season 13 first-half campaign as they sweep ECHO in two games Saturday.
The White Tigers fend off the Orcas with Brian Milez "SpiderMilez" Sanchez leading the way as the roamer recorded a perfect two-game average KDA of 7.5 without having a single death.
It was a resounding first game for Minana EVOS as they ended the first game in 12 minutes, despite Justine "Zaida" Palma getting all three turtles in the early game.
Jan Dominic "Domeng" del Mundo's Natan ascend to the occasion as he clicked in the mid- to late-game, delivering seven kills and three assists in the 10-4 victory for Minana, while SpiderMilez's Floryn contributed to 80 percent of all kills.
Jann "Kirk" Gutierrez's Cici made a significant impact in the first game alongside Domeng, recording two kills and five assists.
ECHO was completely dominated in the low-scoring second game by Minana, dealing only two kills to the latter's eight in sub-17 minutes.
It was Ken "Kzen" Pile's Fredrinn who was hailed the Game 2 MVP with 2/1/3 KDA, getting two of three turtles and the two lords in the game.
SpiderMilez tallied a 1/0/6 record again with the Floryn, while Lance "Lancecy" Cunanan's Valentina recorded 1/0/5, copying Alston "Sanji" Pabico's Faramis's Nether Realm to limit ECHO's impact.
Jhonville "Outplayed" Villar's Brody became a non-factor, with the usual high-hitting marksman getting only two assists in the entire match while falling once, and Domeng outclassing him in the lane.
Minana sits at fifth with a 3-4 record and 10 points in the bag, while ECHO drops to third place with a 5-2 record and 16 points in total.
ECHO will face ONIC in a race to the top spot marquee matchup, while Minana EVOS will try to continue their momentum against TNC, both on a Sunday.
