Stallion Laguna gallops past Manila Montet, 13-0

MANILA - Stallion Laguna deals the biggest win in the 2024 Philippines Football League so far as they drop 13 goals past Manila Montet inside the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Sunday.

It was the biggest win for Stallion in their entire PFL history, as well as tying the biggest win in the league history, as well as the joint-biggest win in the league history.

The record was then held alone by Ceres-Negros, who blasted Global Cebu 13-0 last August 28, 2019.

Stallion opened the floodgates in the first 15 minutes, with Magson Dourado scoring in the fourth, followed by two goals from winger Finn McDaniel in the 10th and 15th minute.

Gabriel Silva added another one in the 27th minute before Magson scored his second goal of the game in the 37th minute.

McDaniel took over for the Stallions before the end of the first half, scoring three quick goals in the 38th, 41st, and 49th minute, putting the half-time score to 8-0 and his tally to five.

Mexican forward Juan Trujillo opened the second half by scoring for the boys in white in the 50th minute, before Magson getting his hat-trick in the 60th minute.

Jo Warren Bedia added Stallion's 11th goal in the 67th minute before Montet put the stops for the good part of the second half.

Cameroonian forward Junior Ngong Sam joined the goalscoring fest and put two quick goals in added time to finish the match 13-0.

McDaniel puts himself in the Golden Boot race with seven goals in total, tying One Taguig's Tsukasa Shimomura, Sam's brace putting him at third with six, and Trujillo and Magson tied at fourth with four goals each.

Stallion will see Philippine Army in their next match, looking to continue their dominant form, while Montet will try to look for their first win as they go against Davao Aguilas UMAK, both on April 28.
