FlapTzy, Kairi to Hall of Legends as MPL-PH concludes Alamat Awards

LAS PIÑAS - Two more iconic players see themselves among the best in the Filipino Mobile Legends scene.

David Charles "FlapTzy" Canon and Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelsol are the latest inductees into the MPL Philippines Hall of Legends as the league holds the seasonal Alamat Awards, Saturday, inside the SM Southmall Events Center.

Both FlapTzy and Kairi entered the professional scene in Season 6 and have made an immediate impact on their respective teams, with FlapTzy being a household name for the Bren faithful, and Kairi putting himself among the prodigies with Blacklist International.

The EXP laner was a two-time world champion for the Falcons AP.Bren franchise, alongside two MPL titles, a Finals MVP in the M5, and several gold medals during his days at Sibol.

Kairi meanwhile spearheaded the influx of Filipino players in the world, with him being the first MPL Philippines product to take his talents to MPL Indonesia, and winning three MPL titles and an MSC title for ONIC Esports.

Personalities, players honored in Alamat Awards

The league also recognized the personalities and players in the Alamat Awards.

Falcons AP.Bren's Marco "Super Marco" Requitiano was hailed as the Season 13's regular season MVP after having a stellar campaign with an average KDA of 10.76.

Super Marco was joined by teammates, jungler Kyle "KyleTzy" Sayson and roamer Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo, Liquid Echo's Alston "Sanji" Pabico, and RSG Philippines' Nathanael "Nathzz" Estrologo as the Team of the Season.

FCAP's Francis "Ducky" Glindro was named the Coach of the Season, while Rasec "Nomed" Sugarno was named the Rookie of the Season, playing 26 of 31 games for TNC Pro Team both as a roamer and gold laner.

Theo "Uomi" Ignacio and Renmar "Reptar" Sta. Cruz was hailed as the Best Filipino and English talents, respectively, while Anna "AnnaBae" Marcelo and Dannica Suazo were awarded as the best team correspondents.

The Blacklist duo of Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo and Edward Jay "Edward" Dapadap also took individual awards, with Yue getting the Smart Sportmanship Award and Edward getting the Freshest Face Award.

RSG Philippines' meme content earned the Raiders the Best Team Content Award, while TNC Pro Team's roster reveal - named "Ipaglalaban Kita" - was awarded as the Best Roster Reveal Execution Award winner.

Seven media entities were awarded the Best Media Award, with ABS-CBN News, Tiebreaker Times, Manila Bulletin Sports, PhilStar Global, All-Star Magazine, Spin.ph, and ONE Esports getting the nod.
