MANILA--Fnatic, Liquid, and Team Falcons, three of the biggest esports clubs in the world, announced their invasion of the Mobile Legends Bang Bang scene by tying up with three of the Philippines' powerhouses in the game.
Team Falcons, more known for its Counter-Strike 2 squad, was the first to jump after forging an alliance with reigning MLBB world champion AP Bren.
Fnatic and Liquid, who might be more known by Filipino esports fans for their respective DOTA 2 squads, then announced their tie-ups with Onic Philippines and Echo, respectively.
Liquid also announced its alliance with MPL Indonesia's rising force Aura led by former Echo star Tristan Cabrera.
Fnatic also breached the MPL ID stage by allying with Onic's main squad.
Moonton regional PR director Keith Medrano confirmed on Tuesday that a name change among the pro MLBB clubs will take effect starting with the upcoming MPL Philippines Playoffs.
AP Bren is now known as Falcons AP Bren, the Onic teams go by the names Fnatic Onic and Fnatic Onic PH, Echo is now Liquid Echo, and Aura takes a new identity as Liquid Aura.
