MAKATI--RSG Philippines regrouped just in time to beat Minana Evos in their MPL Philippines Season 13 clash on Friday night at the Shooting Gallery Studios.

Needing the full three points to stay alive in the Top 3 race, RSG PH found itself in trouble of just ending the night with only one point earned after Minana pushed the best-of-three series to full length.

RSG PH took advantage of the inexperience of debuting Oscar Romero and Vincent Dasig to take the series opener in just 14 minutes.

However, Romero, as Roger, and Dasig, as Yu Zhong, proved their worth especially midway into Game 2 as Minana prevailed after a 29-minute marathon to force a Game 3.

RSG PH went aggressive in the final game to take all three points in just 12 and a half minutes.

The win forced a three-way tie for second to fourth place between RSG PH, Echo, and Onic Philippines with 28 points.

However, Echo (9-3) has a match at hand and could break out of the logjam with a win against Blacklist International on Saturday night.

Despite the defeat, Minana Evos moved up to 18 points, two points ahead of Blacklist for the fifth seed.
