MANILA--The city of Dasmariñas will finally get its chance to host a PBA game.

And it's not just an ordinary out-of-town game.

The league announced on Wednesday night following the conclusion of the Philippine Cup quarterfinals that the two Game 3's of the semifinals scheduled for May 22 will take place at the City of Dasmariñas Arena.

This will be the first mainstream basketball event the said arena will host since the Asiabasket Dasmariñas Championship last November.

The doubleheader is sandwiched between four semifinal twin bills scheduled to take place at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay.

Games 1, 2, and 4 of the semifinals will take place at the MOA Arena, and if necessary, Game 5 will also be at the said venue.

The Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City could get its turn of hosting a semifinal if at least one of the series extends to a Game 6 on May 29.

If a Game 7 takes place on May 31, it will also be outside Metro Manila as the FPJ Arena in San Jose, Batangas was chosen to host the semifinal decider.

The semifinals begin on Friday night at the MOA Arena with Rain Or Shine battling San Miguel in the first game at 4:30 p.m. and Meralco facing off against Ginebra in the second game at 7:30 p.m.

The pairings will alternate in scheduling, that is, the Beermen-Elasto Painters series will be in the nightcap of even-numbered games and the Gin Kings-Bolts will open the doubleheader in the said game numbers.

If only one series goes long, the teams involved will play in the lone game of the night at 7:30 p.m.
