MANILA - Don Bosco Garelli United continue their winning form as they deal a slim 1-0 defeat to a hapless Philippine Air Force squad Sunday inside the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Jangobah Johnson scored the solitary goal as Keivenne Banagodos's long free kick in the 45th minute found the Liberian winger who defeated the Air Force defense and keeper Jose Abraham who was sent on the wrong side.
Garelli was the most aggressive side in the first half with 10 shots and 3 on target, keeping the offside traps in effect as they forced the Airmen to four offside.
Jules Koumoin suffered a potential injury in the second half as he tried to win the ball for a possible attack only to be tangled with Air Force FC captain Glenn Bulaquiña, both going to the ground.
The Wolves held onto the defense and kept their clean sheet to claim only their third win of the season, while the Air Force suffered their fifth loss in a row.
PAF will try to get a positive result against another mid-table contender in Manila Digger, while Garelli will receive a bye for next week's matches and will test themselves against One Taguig FC on the 29th.
