MPBL: Pampanga spoils 30-point blast from Renz Palma, zaps Negros for 10th straight win

BINAN--Pampanga continued its red-hot streak in the MPBL after dealing Negros a 104-81 beating on Thursday night at the Alonte Sports Arena.

The Giant Lanterns pulled away in the second quarter after outscoring the Muscovados, 25-9, to take a 41-29 halftime lead after the latter had a 20-16 lead at the end of the first period.

While Negros got its offensive groove back in the third quarter, Pampanga erupted for 35 points in the fourth period to complete the blowout.

Encho Serrano led the Giant Lanterns, now on a 10-game winning streak after a shock opening night loss to the Rizal Golden Coolers, with 20 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one steal.

Balti Baltazar added a triple-double of 18 points, 17 rebounds, and 11 assists with one steal.

Renz Palma's 30-point blast went for naught as the Muscovados dropped to 4-8.
