MANILA - Don Bosco Garelli United snaps their six-match losing skid as they trample hapless Manila Montet, 4-0, inside the Rizal Memorial Stadium on Saturday to continue their 2024 Philippines Football League campaign.

Both sides were looking to shoot their first goal in the first 45 minutes but no one could find the back of the net, with Garelli shooting 16 shots with several of them saved by Mark James Jones.

However, the Wolves needed only five minutes into the second half as Jangobah Johnson opened the floodgates from the spot after Jaymark Salazar pulled Jules Koumoin inside the box.

Koumoin then added himself to the scorer's list with two quick goals in the 73rd and 74th minute as the already lulled Manila Montet defenders were caught off-guard on one and committed an error on another.

Aljun Baclason joined the party as Keivenne Banagodos capitalized on a missed pass from the Montet defense, seeing the forward who grabbed the ball and beat Jones in the 79th minute.

Montet have a late surge in the dying minutes, but John Misagal and the rest of the defense held their line, including a last-minute Sherwin Llander attempt that Kyle Siongco blocked.

Manila Montet will seek to reduce the bleeding as they will meet defending champions Kaya-Iloilo on June 15, while DB Garelli will have another chance to climb the PFL table as they will take on 14th-placed Air Force on the 16th.
