TALISAY, Cebu - Dynamic Herb Cebu FC needs only one goal to keep their place in the 2024 Philippines Football League title race inside the Dynamic Herb Borromeo Sports Complex Sunday.
Forward Chima Uzoka scored in the 57th minute against Davao Aguilas - UMAK after converting a one-two from Zamoranho Ho-A-Tham which went past Dini Ouattara;s guard.
Both Davao and Cebu tried to gain the advantage over the other for the first 45 minutes, while their defensive line, currently first and third in the league respectively, held on to the half-time whistle.
Davao tried to score one back against the Gentle Giants but to no avail as the defensive four from Memiş Özata's men countered any chances from the Eagles.
The University of Makati-based side suffered their first loss of the season and conceded only their second goal in the league, while Cebu continued their fine form for the fifth straight time.
DH Cebu will see another tough opposition as they will take a gritty Manila Digger side, while Davao Aguilas will see themselves against United City, both next Sunday.
