MANILA - United City FC prevails in a tight match inside the Rizal Memorial Stadium after getting a 1-0 win against young Tuloy FC on Sunday.
Cameroonian forward Ariel Ngueukam was the lone scorer for the day as he converted a set piece, a corner kick from Mark Hartmann in the 66th minute and beating Michael Antilo Jr. inside the box.
UCFC dominated the game within the first 45 minutes including six shots with two on target, however, the Tuloy defense held on against a much older attacking trio of Hartmann, Paolo Bugas, and Troy Limbo.
Ngueukam started the second half, replacing midfielder Diego Aspiras as manager Ramon Tribulietx looked for more attacking options.
It was the 10th goal of the season for the Cameroonian, who is now just one behind Stallion Laguna's Juan Trujillo who is third in the Golden Boot race.
Both teams will face tougher opposition as United City will test Davao Aguilas UMAK while Tuloy FC will try to hold their own against Stallion Laguna on April 16.
