MANILA--Gilas Pilipinas needed a second-quarter breakaway once more to pummel Thailand, 87-53, in the FIBA U18 Asia Cup SEABA Qualifiers on Saturday night at the MABA Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.

After another tight first quarter, Gilas pulled away in the second, outscoring Thailand, 24-10, to take a 46-29 halftime lead.
