MANILA--Strong Group Athletics moves closer to a full sweep of the Jones Cup after ripping Chinese Taipei White, 96-70, on Saturday night at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei.
Strong Group quickly pulled away from CT White, opening a 30-15 lead after the first quarter ended and never looking back.
Chris McCullough led Strong Group, now 7-0 in the Jones Cup, with 25 points on 7-of-12 field goals, seven rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
Kiefer Ravena added 14 points, six rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
Strong Group can complete the sweep on Sunday night with another win against Chinese Taipei Blue.
Like Strong Group, CT Blue also enters the Sunday showdown 7-0 after tripping BSBL, 97-80, virtually making the final game of the tournament the championship match too.
Zhang Jia-He led Chinese Taipei White with 16 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting, two rebounds, and one steal.
