QUEZON CITY—From the announce table, Caisam Nopueto is moving to the sidelines.
Nopueto, known in the esports circle as "Wolf", has been named the new head coach of TNC ahead of MPL Philippines Season 14.
Nopueto was formally introduced on Sunday night along with TNC's roster for the new season during the club's relaunch at the Lust Nightclub here.
A video of TNC's introduction was also viewed during the launch party and was posted too in the team's social media pages.
Nopueto is not new to coaching as he was part of Quid Pro Quo and Playbook's DOTA 2 coaching staff.
He was also part of Fnatic Onic Philippines' coaching staff as an analyst for MPL Seasons 6-8 before returning to his more well-known role as a caster.
Nopueto began his colorful sportscasting career in 2016 also for DOTA 2, and his voice was also heard in other esports broadcasts before joining the MPL Philippines broadcast team in 2019.
After leaving Fnatic Onic PH, Wolf returned full-time to the caster role and was even part of the MLBB Midseason Cup's commentary team.
Nopueto is taking over the head coaching job relinquished by Ben Maglaque, who has since signed with MPL Philippines newcomer Aurora.
Wolf debuts as MPL coach with retooled TNC
Nopueto coming in as the head coach is just part of yet another major shakeup in TNC's MPL Philippines roster.
Christian Morada and Jaylord Gonzales, two key players from the club's Season 13 team, are staying put for another season.
Jetson Ignacio, who was also on the active roster last season, is joining Nopueto in the coaching staff as an analyst.
Ken Pile and Lance Cunanan were both absorbed by TNC after Minana Evos relinquished its MPL franchise to Aurora.
Pile will be part of TNC's starting five, while Cunanan will join Shemaiah Chu, who was earlier announced as the team's returning member, as a reserve.
Jomearie Santos, formerly of Fnatic Onic PH, is also moving to TNC and has been named captain, while Clarense Camilo, formerly of RSG Philippines, completes TNC's Season 14 squad.
As also revealed during the TNC roster introduction, the team will take on Smart Omega in Matchday 1 of the new season in mid-August.
