MANILA--At age 41, Alex Cabagnot is back in the PBA.
The six-foot guard is returning to Asia's premier top-flight basketball league after signing with Converge as the team announced on Monday.
Cabagnot, who last played for the Taiwan Mustangs in TAT, is expected to add some veteran smarts to the FiberXers' youngster-loaded roster led by 2023 Rookie of the Year Justin Arana.
The contract signing came on the same day Converge formalized the addition of Rajko Toroman as the active consultant and Charles Tiu as an assistant coach to interim head coach Franco Atienza.
The retooled Converge squad looks to bounce back mightily this upcoming season after falling to last place in both conferences last season.
However, for the Governors' Cup, the team will be without top overall pick Balti Baltazar, who will finish first his stint with Pampanga in the MPBL.
