MAKATI - Fnatic ONIC Philippines solidified their position as the top team in the MPL Philippines with a 2-0 victory over Smart Omega on Saturday.

This marks the fifth straight win for the Hedgehogs, who now sit at the top of the standings, holding a slim lead over the current world champions, Falcons AP.Bren.

King Cyric "K1NGKONG" Perez led the men in yellow in the first game, dominating the Barangay with a 16-4 victory, as his Roger racked up ten kills and two assists.

Omega managed to take only two turrets in the entire 13 minutes of play, while Fnatic ONIC secured all the major objectives, including all nine of Omega's turrets.

Duane "Kelra" Pillas's Ruby also had a standout performance with a 1/0/9 tally, while limiting Jomari "JOWM" Pingol's Moskov to just three assists as he fell four times.

FNOP's second game followed a similar pattern, as they effectively neutralized JOWM's Claude, but it was Frince "Super Frince" Ramirez's Lylia who shone, securing three kills and five assists.

The midlaner's spacing prevented Jayson "UKIR" Alupit's Zhask from taking control of the game, with the latter restricted to just four assists.

Fnatic ONIC will aim for their sixth consecutive win when they face RSG Philippines on September 6, while Omega will also take on the Raiders next Saturday.
