MAKATI - Aurora Gaming solidified their position as contenders with a 2-0 masterclass victory over defending champions Team Liquid PH in Week 4 of the MPL Philippines Season 14 regular season on Saturday.

Aurora claimed the first game of the series with Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo’s Valentina leading the charge, securing four kills and 12 assists while only dying twice.

It was all Aurora until the first lord fight, where Team Liquid’s nine-minute power spike came into play. They took down Renejay "Renejay" Barcase’s Tigreal and Edward "Edward" Dapadap’s Hylos, while fending off Jonard Cedrix "Demonkite" Caranto.

However, Aurora persevered, repelling Karl "Karltzy" Nepomuceno’s Nolan to secure the lord, and then chased down all five TLPH members, sealing their victory.

Aurora’s dominance carried over into Game 2, with Demonkite’s Joy securing two kills and nine assists while catching KarlTzy off-guard.

Renejay returned to his "Heal-man" role as his Angela recorded a 4/0/5 performance, while Jan Dominic "Domeng" del Mundo claimed five kills with Roger.

With this win, Aurora ended the first half of their MPL-PH campaign with a solid 5-2 record, while Team Liquid PH dropped to 3-3.

Both teams will face Smart Omega in their next games, with Team Liquid aiming for a win against Barangay Omega to finish the first half on a high note.
