MAKATI - Blacklist International moves closer to a playoff spot after a hard-fought match against an already-eliminated TNC Pro Team to end MPL Philippines Season 14 Week 7 festivities.
It was a feel-good moment for the Codebreakers after claiming their fourth win of the season and repeating their performance against the Phoenix Army from Week 4.
Kiel "Oheb" Soriano's Lunox led the charge in the first game as he tallied four kills and four assists while Salic "Hadji" Imam's Valentina put up five kills and three assists while dealing the most damage in an 11-6 outing.
Daniel "SDzyz" Chu had a bad start in Game 1 with the Ling, who only assisted four times and fell three times in the process, all while only getting a single turtle.
However, TNC fought their way back into Game 2 as Jomearie "Escalera" delos Santos stepped up big time with his Mathilda getting two kills and 10 assists, and Salvick "Kouzen" Tolarba's Ruby added three more kills and assisted four in a 14-minute affair.
This time, Michael "MP The King" Endino had a bad time in office as his Nolan fell five times and only assisted once to Oheb's signature Beatrix.
Oheb showed why he earned the "Filipino Sniper" moniker as his Beatrix put up a 10/2/6 performance in a close 21-minute Game 3 that could go either way.
A clash in the 18th minute gave TNC a lifeline with Oheb, John "Perkz" Sumawan, and Jhon Marl "Lord JM" Sebastian fell after a full team clash left TNC free to take the lord.
Perkz, who is using the Tigreal, managed to get three TNC members into his Implosion, where Oheb capitalized and grabbed three quick kills while MP The King and Lord JM got one each to call game and destroy the TNC base.
Blacklist will wrap up the regular season against rivals Aurora Gaming next Sunday in hopes of boarding the playoffs bus, while TNC will have their last game of Season 14 against defending champs Team Liquid PH.
