MANILA - "As of today, the redemption story is now officially over. But the mission, as always, will never end."

Blacklist International announces the disbandment of their Dota 2 roster as the post-The International Dota 2 shuffle is now underway Wednesday.

The Tier One-backed side exits the Dota 2 scene after a lengthy statement across all their social media platforms.

"After two years of working with Rivalry to bring Blacklist to the Dota scene, this chapter of our history is coming to a close," said the team in their statement.

The team also acknowledged their two-year journey, from forming the squad in 2022 to fielding an all-Filipino star lineup.

"Our redemption story has been followed by the community in all our ups and downs. From the first version of our squad when we brought together the legendary names of Philippine DOTA, to being able to do what the community said was impossible by bringing one of the best Filipino player home in Abed Yusop," they added.

Blacklist also stated that the squad, composed of John Anthony "Natsumi-" Vargas, Abed "Abed" Yusop, Kim "Gabbi" Santos, and Jaunuel "Jaunuel" Arcilla will be exploring their options ahead of the roster shuffle, with soft support Timothy "Tims" Randrup already joining Boom Esports.

The team has had one international title since its inception, the Asia Pacific Predator League 2024, and has competed in the Riyadh Masters during the Esports World Cup, while not making it past The International 2024 SEA Qualifiers.

Blacklist, during their two-year run, has fielded several stars in the Southeast Asia Dota 2 scene such as Marc Polo "Raven" Castro, Karl "Karl" Baldovino, Damien "kpii" Chok, Carlo "Kuku" Palad, and Nico "eyyou" Barcelon.
