MAKATI - Upset alert! I repeat! Upset alert!
Blacklist International pulls the rug off reigning world champions Falcons AP.Bren to start their Week 6 of the MPL Philippines S14 regular season Friday.
It was only the second win for the Codebreakers, who returned the favor from August 25 when the Hive gave them a 0-2 beatdown.
Captain Salic "Hadji" Imam puts up a masterful performance with his Faramis getting five kills and five assists, while John "Perkz" Sumawan's Mathilda complemented him with two kills and nine assists.
Blacklist was dominant from wire to wire, getting eight of nine available turrets while grabbing all two lords, as David "FlapTzy" Canon's Arlott fell four times.
FCAP went into Game 2 with more dominance, getting all three turtles in the first eight minutes, with Marco "Super Marco" Requitiano's Moskov and Kyle "KyleTzy" Sayson's Julian getting the early to mid game going.
However, Kiel "Oheb" Soriano's Natan clicked into the late game, getting significant kills while Jhon Marl "Lord JM" Sebastian's Arlott neutralized FlapTzy's Terizla, limiting the latter to only six assists and falling down five times.
It was Perkz's Tigreal who led the Codebnreakers, assisting 15 of 20 total kills, as they overturned a 4,000 gold lead in the 21st minute to force FCAP to defend to no avail.
Blacklist will try to ride on their momentum against RSG Philippines tomorrow, with the Raiders meeting Falcons AP.Bren next on Sunday.
