MAKATI - Falcons AP.Bren asserted their dominance over their rivals by defeating the current MPL Philippines champions, Team Liquid PH, in two games to close the league's Saturday festivities.
Fans inside the Green Sun Hotel were treated to a thrilling 19-14 showdown in favor of The Hive, with Marco "Super Marco" Requitiano tallying nine kills and four assists using Roger.
The reigning ESL Snapdragon Pro Series champions ensured total map control in the 16-minute game, taking down all nine of Liquid PH's turrets while not losing a single one of their own and securing the game's only lord.
Skipper Angelo "Pheww" Arcangel recorded four kills and 10 assists with Luo Yi, while Karl Gabriel "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno posted a 5/5/3 performance with Nolan.
Kyle "KyleTzy" Sayson emerged victorious in the second battle of the Tzys, achieving a 9/2/8 performance with Ling after 35 minutes and 45 seconds.
Both teams pulled out all the stops until KyleTzy spotted his rival jungler KarlTzy down the map and managed to take him down with the Tempest of Blades.
David Charles "FlapTzy" Canon contributed three kills and 14 assists with Edith, while it was a tough day for his counterpart, Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya, who managed nine assists but fell seven times with Ruby.
Team Liquid PH will try to close their week strong against cellar-dwellers Blacklist International, while Falcons AP.Bren will engage in a bird-against-bird affair with TNC Pro Team on Friday.
