MANILA--Even without Andy Gemao, Gilas Pilipinas showed Indonesia that they remain the kings of Southeast Asian youth basketball by drubbing them, 75-48, at the start of their FIBA U18 Asia Cup campaign on Monday night at the Arena Complex in As-Salt, Jordan.

Gilas pulled away in the second quarter after going on a 23-2 blast against Indonesia and never looked back from there as the Filipinos repeated their SEABA Qualifiers win against the Indonesians.

Cabs Cabonilas led Gilas with 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting, eight rebounds, one steal, and one block, while Drei Lorenzo added 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting from three-point range, four rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block.

Halmaheranno Hady put up 12 points, nine rebounds, two steals, and one block for Indonesia.
