MAKATI - Defending MPL Philippines Team Liquid PH claims a much-needed win in their regular season campaign after defeating Smart Omega 2-0 on Saturday.
It was the fifth win for the Cavalry, who is looking to solidify their position in the playoffs while denying Smart Omega of clinching their ticket.
Alston "Sanji" Pabico's Aurora led the champs in a 13-5 win in Game 1, getting four kills and seven assists in just 11 minutes, as the Liquid quintet denied Smart Omega any turrets, turtle, or lord take.
Benedict "Bennyqt" Gonzales'sa Claude puts up five kills and four assists, as Andrew "Andoryuuu" Flora's Ling only managed to kill or assist three for the Barangay.
Jomarie "JOWM" Pingol's Alice did not have a good time in Game 2, as he didn't register a kill or assist in 12 minutes while Liquid PH put up the same scoreline but in a more dominant fashion as they led as much as 13 thousand in gold.
Sanford "Sanford" Vinuya's surprise Khaleed pick contributed four kills and six assists to lead the Cavalry, while Karl Gabriel "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno's Hayabusa puts a flawless 6/0/5 KDA.
Smart Omega will take a glory-hunting TNC Pro Team on Sunday, while Team Liquid will take on RSG Philippines next Friday.
