MANILA—San Sebastian completed a late comeback from 10 points down to stun Lyceum, 95-93, in their NCAA men's basketball clash on Wednesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
Trailing 83-93, the Golden Stags finished the game on a 12-0 run within the last 1:19 to steal the win from the Pirates, who seemed to be pulling away after taking over for most of the fourth quarter.
Paeng Are led San Sebastian, which tied the College of St. Benilde on top of the team standings at 2-0, with a near triple-double of 25 points, eight rebounds, and 13 assists with two steals.
Raymart Escobido added 23 points, three rebounds, four assists, and one steal, while Tristan Felebrico put up 14 points, 15 rebounds, one assist, and one steal.
Ato Barba led Lyceum, which dropped to 0-2, with 25 points, six rebounds, six assists, and one steal.
More bad news came for the team as JM Bravo was stretchered out of the court with 9.6 seconds left after a bad fall while trying to block Lauren Gabat's stepback jumper.
