MANILA--Blackwater's mid-conference brilliance in the PBA Governors' Cup continued on Friday night with a 110-99 rout against NLEX at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
George King had his usual numbers with 39 points, 15 rebounds, and five assists as the Bossing won their third straight game after a 0-3 start, tying their victims, who now lost three straight after a 3-0 start, for second place in Group B.
"It's obvious on the court the impact George King has given us the last three games," coach Jeffrey Cariaso said of King, adding that he is a fighter, a true professional, and someone who does not get rattled.
However, Troy Rosario put on a show in the second half. scoring all of his 15 points in the final 24 minutes while hustling around with 11 offensive rebounds out of 14 total boards as Blackwater sustained its first half where they outscored NLEX, 61-43, despite the latter's gallant fight.
"Sa akin naman, kung ano ang sinabi ng mga coaches sa akin, gagawin ko," said Rosario, whose Bossing side avenged their 87-104 loss in their first round meeting.
Myke Henry led the Road Warriors with 26 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and three steals, while Robert Bolick flirted with a triple-double after tallying 21 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists.
