MANILA--It was San Miguel's turn to play without an import against Blackwater in their PBA Governors' Cup battle.

George King made sure he got the most out of it.

The import erupted for 49 points as the Bossing got back at the Beermen with a 111-94 blowout on Saturday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

With Jordan Adams sitting out to recover from a hamstring injury, King was almost unstoppable, going 6-of-14 on long-range shots including 4-of-10 on four-pointers even as Blackwater pulled away from San Miguel in the fourth quarter.

King also had 11 rebounds and four assists as the Bossing remained in contention for the last quarterfinal spot for Group B by going up to 4-5, tying the NLEX Road Warriors for fourth place.

The Bossing can snatch the last quarterfinal berth if they beat the Rain Or Shine Elasto Painters on Monday night back at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium provided the Road Warrior lose to Barangay Ginebra on Sunday night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Sedrick Barefield added 14 points, two rebounds, and five assists off the bench for Blackwater.

June Mar Fajardo led SMB, which fell to 6-4, with 23 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal, but he had six of the team's 15 turnovers.

CJ Perez added 21 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and one steal.

The defeat shut the door on the Beermen's chances of finishing on top of Group B, but they can still end up as the second seed if the Gin Kings bow to the Road Warriors.
