MANILA—The winning streak that began against Ginebra ended against Ginebra too.
Blackwater's hot run midway into the PBA Governors' Cup eliminations was snapped by the same team where they first won against as Ginebra walked away with a 112-98 victory on Wednesday night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
The Gin Kings finished the game strong with a solid fourth quarter after the Bossing made things interesting in the second and third quarters.
Scottie Thompson put up a triple-double of 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists for Ginebra, which moved up to 4-2.
"I want to slowly get back," Thompson said as he recovers from the injury bug.
Justin Brownlee added 20 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and three blocks.
George King, who was on fire during Blackwater's three-game winning streak, was held to only 21 points and forced to six turnovers, although he flirted with a triple-double with 11 rebounds and eight assists as the team dropped to 3-4.
