LUMBAN—NorthPort guard John Amores and his brother Red are now free again, albeit temporarily, after posting bail on Friday.

The municipal police station here released both Amoreses by 2:30 p.m. after word has reached the cops that the players' camp already paid their supposed due.

John Amores had to pay PHP24,000 for bail, while Red Amores was meted with a PHP10,000 bail.

Even if they already departed their detention cell, neither John nor Red gave a comment about their lawsuit.

Both Amoreses, residents of the adjacent town of Pagsanjan, were charged with attempted homicide after aiming a gun at Lee Cacalda following their basketball-related heated exchange.

If found guilty, John and Red will face 6-12 years of imprisonment.
