MANILA--Despite getting monster numbers from Jordan Adams in their last game, San Miguel opted to bring in another import in Sheldon Mac for the second round of the PBA Governors' Cup eliminations.

Although he came in a bit taller than his listed height, Mac, who was officially measured at six feet and 5.625 inches, has been cleared to play for the Beermen for the second half of the preliminaries, which begins with a Wednesday night clash against the NLEX Road Warriors.

Although Adams was solid for SMB in the first round, the team struggled in their last three games after a 2-0 start, losing to Ginebra and NLEX, and was just three seconds away from bowing to Rain Or Shine too if not for June Mar Fajardo's buzzer-beater to save the day.

Stepping in Adams' place is Mac, who began his professional career with the Washington Wizards in the NBA from 2016-2018 before embarking on a journeyman stint in various countries, lastly in Puerto Rico with Santeros De Aguada.

The Road Warriors-Beermen showdown, a rematch of their overtime thriller in Cagayan De Oro on Aug. 31, is set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium, right after the rematch between the Converge FiberXers and the NorthPort Batang Pier.
